Three families from different eras are connected by the same room and the same window. Each time, a messenger dressed in white appears at the window, bringing news of a man’s death on the battlefield. This allegorical play by Matei Vișniec portrays how endless wars tear apart generations of ordinary families. It is a powerful reflection on the invisible impact of war on those left behind and on the cyclical nature of history.
