In March 2024 we start the third season of Enchanted Forest art program, initiated by Oberliht Association in collaboration with Iulia Pînzari – artist and facilitator. It will again bring fun and promote creativity among children, who are invited to attend the workshop every Saturday during March, April and May 2024. To stimulate creative thinking, each month will be dedicated to new themes:

  • March / we will work with the theme of changing seasons (revival / renewal / bright colours and fragrant smells)
  • April / forest community (how to communicate, live together and support each other)
  • May / caring for nature and the environment (what ways to save nature’s limited resources and recycling do we know)

The cycle of workshops started in spring 2022, with the outbreak of war in Ukraine. Its main aim at the time was to provide a place for children to relax and a safer place for children from refugee families. The workshop is dedicated to Moldovan and Ukrainian children, and right from the start the Ukrainian children have been very active, with this kind of activity having a positive impact on their integration into local life.

Iulia, as an artist and facilitator of these workshops, aims to create a free space for self-realization and creative integration of children from Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, which will highlight their creative personality, guiding them towards important values such as kindness, mutual respect and the importance of sharing resources. In addition, Iulia is committed to adapting these workshops to the different needs and interests of the participants. For example, one of the workshops included the making of montanka dolls, popular in Ukrainian culture and folklore. The importance and possibilities of recycling different textile materials are also promoted in these workshops.

Enchanted Forest is a free space for self-realization and creative integration of children from Ukraine and the Republic of Moldova, which started its activity in April 2022, under the guidance of artist Iulia Pînzari, in the aftermath of Russia’s massive war in Ukraine. During the workshop, participants created toys, decorative panels, animal figures and magic plants from recycled materials, which were regularly exhibited at various events organised at the Zemstva House.

Iulia Pînzari [MD] is an actress, director and facilitator of Enchanted Forest Art Workshops, especially for children from refugee families. In addition, Iulia teaches theatre improvisation, artistic culture and technique courses and is a theatre director at ZAO.

Art Studio is a space where mixed media artworks are produced with an emphasis on process, experiment, dialogue and support. It can become a temporary studio for young artists who need space to create a work or series of works, as well as for people who want to organise creative workshops or discussions that would involve a larger number of participants in a creative process.
