Beer of Moldova 2017

For the third year in a row MadeIn.md invites you to celebrate the diversity of beers produced in Moldova at the exclusive event Beer of Moldova 2017. Highlighting all of the commercial breweries as well as homebrew enthusiasts, this event serves the purpose of showing the public how diverse and interesting beer can actually be by serving virtually all of the commercial varieties produced in Moldova as part of a blind tasting session. That’s right, you’ll be able to taste virtually all of the beers made in Moldova during a single beer tasting feast all at the same place and at the same time!

This year we’re expanding the format of the event to make it even more entertaining and exciting. Apart from the main tasting session, which will be highlighting beers in eight different categories, you will be able to interact with the actual brewers, ask them questions, and taste some of their select beers as part the meet and greet session during Beer of Moldova. We’re putting brewers and beer lovers face to face so that no stones are left unturned regarding the thing we all love - beer.

Beer of Moldova is organized in partnership with Smokehouse and Sunstone Alehouse with the sole purpose of popularizing locally brewed beer of all types and styles and giving beer lovers a comprehensive picture of the beer landscape of Moldova in 2017. This event aims to cater to the needs and interests of three distinct groups, one of which you’re certainly making part of:

Beer lovers

• An exclusive chance to taste virtually all beers produced in Moldova, both commercially and by local homebrewers
• At least 40 different beers from 8 different categories including beers from breweries that are impossible to find in Chisinau
• Chance to meet and speak to the brewers, and ask them any questions
• Pick a favorite in each category and cast a vote for the best beer of the event

Beer brewers

• Present your beers to a diverse audience that really loves beer
• Talk to the guests and exhibit your best beers as part of the meet and greet session
• Each brewery will get a separate isle where it will be able to promote itself and its products
• Chance to meet restaurant and bar owners who will be attending the event, and pitch your best beers to them
• See what’s new on the market, what other breweries are offering, and what styles are currently in demand

Restaurant and bar owners

• Chance to taste from virtually all beers producers in Moldova
• See what beers are most appreciated by people who actually prefer drinking beer
• Interact with brewers and get a chance to expand your restaurant’s beer lineup with something interesting an exclusive

One of a kind event that celebrates the unknown diversity the Moldavian beer scene and gives everyone the opportunity to taste everything local brewers have to offer. Tickets will be available in a limited amount prior to the event. The ticket includes:

• Blind tasting of all the beers submitted by the breweries, over 40 beers in 8 categories (including homebrew), from over 10 local breweries
• Beer snacks provided by local food producers with a mini beer and food pairing session
• Special beers offered by brewers outside of the blind tasting session
• Meet all the brewers in person with a chance to taste beers that aren't sold anywhere in Chisinau
