CoffeeMolka — a coffeehouse with a taste of history.

The story of CoffeeMolka begins with Alexandru Stucalov — the creator and soul of this place. He is deeply connected to Chi?in?u, carefully preserves its memories, and knows how to find history in the smallest details — in a cup, the aroma of coffee, or an old photograph.

Through coffee, Alexandru developed a deep interest in Moldova’s culture, its multilingual character, and the many traditions that have met and intertwined here over the centuries.

Today, CoffeeMolka is more than a coffeehouse — it is an intimate cultural space in the heart of Chi?in?u. The interior is part of Alexandru’s personal collection: coffee grinders, traditional coffee pots, photographs, vintage objects, and paintings made with coffee. Every detail has a story to tell.

At CoffeeMolka, drinks are prepared using recipes from the 19th and 20th centuries: Bessarabian coffee, coffee with cardamom, and “Pushkin Coffee” — each with a real story behind it.

The space also hosts concerts, readings, creative evenings, talks, and cultural gatherings. CoffeeMolka is about conversation, atmosphere, and that feeling of home — a place you want to return to.
