Zemstvei’s residents? From Center to Telecenter presents a selection of photographs taken by members of the Casa de Fotografie platform in the spring of 2026, in anticipation of the closedown of the Zemstvei House due to the renovation of this historic building.

The selected photographs shed light on the residents of the Zemstvei House – a metaphor for visibility, but also a theme explored through the lens by a group of photographers – captured during the preparation and unfolding of public events, rehearsals, and the daily routine of maintaining the building in functional order; portraits of the residents and architectural elements, both from inside and outside of the Zemstvei House, are also presented.

The photographs on display are complemented by a series of podcasts produced on various occasions between 2024 and 2026 by the Oberliht team and the Independent Cultural Sector Coalition, with the aim of raising awareness of the cultural initiatives and artist collectives based at this cultural center, as well as their artistic and cultural-political concerns.
