“The Universe of Calendars” Exhibition

Description

The exhibition represents the calendar as a kind of publication through exhibiting two types of calendars: calendars in book form and wall calendars. Themes of these calendars are diverse: universal calendars, calendars dedicated to regions and localities of the Russian Empire, industrial calendars, agricultural calendars, religious calendars, address calendars, calendars dedicated to educational institutions, entomological calendars, calendars of the royal family, calendars dedicated to literary or cultural figures, calendars on the history of revolution, etc. 
The exhibition is complemented by some objects of those times: candlestick, inkstand, and paper-knife.
